So it's
been a few months since I last posted my room here!
People call me Rhett (the kids I work with call me "Rhetta", "Etta", and "Da Da"). I'm a 24 year old Early Childhood Educator working with children aged 18 months to three years. I recently (well, almost a year ago) moved back in with my mother to help us both out financially, and have slowly been renovating my mother's 60 year old house. Today I bring you... MY ROOM! All that's left is flooring... and doors.
When my mother's room is finally finished (as in decorated), I'll share pictures of her room as well, it's fabulous!
After a couple coats of paint, some rearranging, a new desk, some electrical work, and a lot of swearing - my room is done(ish).

Wall colour - Caribe by Behr
Ceiling colour - Heavy Cream by Behr
Trim colour - Bleached Linen by Behr
It took 2 coats of paint on all the surfaces to completely cover the dark red and black. Do not be afraid to use dark colours, be afraid of using cheap paint! My red was a Ralph Lauren paint - I can't recall the colour at the moment - and I painted it on nearly 5 years ago. The black was a cheaper paint I had originally got to paint my dresser and bedside table, but with proper prep work covered as well as the more expensive paints!
